Hi soccer fans - May is upon us, which means it’s time for Fall 2017 registration!

To get started, visit www.millbraeayso.org and hit the ‘Register Now’ button at the top.

Instructions are here.

2017 for AYSO nationally is a transition year with many changes which will affect registration, age groups (birth dates), Laws of the Game (rules & regs) & a few field sizes too.

With almost 700 kids playing soccer in Millbrae what has not changed is the need for parents to participate at all levels.  For some perspective, and in order for us to continue to be successful, our region needs for parents/friends/neighbors participating on some level as volunteers  for every 10 players.  You’ll be asked to donate your time this Fall when registering your kids - it’s necessary, and what’s made AYSO a hit for 53 years!

New Regional Commissioner

Sam Habash has completed his ‘tour of duty’ as RC - so thank you for your time & dedication in this role the past 3 years!  In March, Gary Post offered to fill Sam’s shoes on behalf of Millbrae.

Gary, his wife Karen & 2 boys who play - Simon (8) & Seb (6) - have been Millbrae residents since 2013.  During this time he has participated as both a coach and U6 Division Coordinator.  Gary started playing as a 5 year old with Torrance (CA) AYSO and played at Torrance HS.  He’s been participating in adult soccer leagues since college - SF Papy league, recreational futsal at Burlingamer & Sunday soccer at Spring Valley.  Please welcome him when you can.

Changes in Birth Date Registration

In an effort to align American Youth Soccer programs throughout the country there is a one time change affecting every player. This national AYSO initiative shifts from school year to birth year (Jan 1 - Dec 31).  It affects every player in Millbrae, on the Peninsula, throughout the Bay Area, etc. so we’ll make the adjustment now and be good to go moving forward.

May Open Registration Dates & Times

In our ongoing effort to be paperless the only piece of info new players will need to show is their birth certificate (which can be done by simply taking a picture on your smartphone and showing it during reg).  Credit Cards will be now be accepted during the registration sessions. In order to prep for team formation it’s important to register as many players as we can now; if you’re on the fence due to other potential obligations we encourage you to register now, as we will refund fees if need be.
